Is your school in need of basic necessities and food for your students? The Vancouver Sun Children’s Fund accept applications from schools and school boards throughout British Columbia.
Overview
Are there children in your school in need of food, clothing and basic necessities?
If the answer is yes, then The Vancouver Sun Children’s Fund wants to hear from you. Our registered charity and its Adopt-A-School program are designed to provide funds for food and other basic necessities for children in need, and we accept applications from schools and school boards throughout British Columbia. If you are not a school or school board employee, please get in touch with your local school about starting an application.
Grant Applications
Grants are awarded only to organizations that are recognized as “qualified donees” under the Canadian Income Tax Act (more information available here) and are restricted to projects benefiting children in the province of British Columbia.
Due to increasing demand, we will prioritize grants for food and basic necessities.
We do consider requests for items such as field trips, activities, mentoring, literacy and technology unless designated donor funding is available.
Our current grant cycle is now closed. Please check back in early autumn for information on the 2026/27 grant cycle.
