Imagine considering lunch a “special treat,” and yet that’s what 15 children — — all from low-income families — who attend Lynnmour Elementary School in North Vancouver call the daily meal that most of us take for granted.

Financial constraints exist for a number of families in the Lynnmour community, which is why Lynnmour Elementary is asking Vancouver Sun readers — through the Adopt-a-School program — for a grant of $4,300 to provide hot lunches for 35 children.
