Pitt Meadows Secondary School serves more than 4,000 meals a year to 125 students, and they can’t do it without your support.
The school is situated in an area of low-income housing, and many students arrive in the morning hungry. Breakfasts are provided community-style: students sit with friends and staff, providing teachers with an opportunity to interact with at-risk students outside the classroom.
While the program offers a nutritious meal, it delivers on so much more: community connections, a safe environment, fuel for the brain and social interaction.
Pitt Meadows Secondary has applied for $2,000 to fund its food program.
