Ball chairs support students with attention difficulties and improve their ability to stay at their desks and concentrate by providing them with an opportuity for movem. Books / novels will be purchased to encourage student engagement in literacy and offer high-interest, appealing books that will be available to students in the classroom. Students will also have agency in selecting the books, ensuring that books are of interest to them.

Several ball chairs will be purchased to be shared by students as needed. Class will take a fieldtrip to Kidsbooks (local bookstore) and each student will choose 2 books. Students will read their chosen books and present a book report to the class over the year. The books will then remain in the classroom and be the foundation of a class library.
