Breakfast Program  $9,000

The Douglas Park Breakfast program has been operating for more than 25 years. It serves the low income community of Langley City. This community has a high number of refugees and low income earners.

Our program feeds 75 school aged children everyday of the school year. We have over 15 volunteers and make over 13,500 breakfasts each year.

We have a strong volunteer and delivery method for our well established program. Currently our volunteers work out of a commercial kitchen and bring the meals to two vulnerable schools in the area. We have a donated space that we have been using for over 20 years. The volunteers do everything from purchasing the food, prep, delivery and cleaning. The funding will be used to continue to serve the community. We will purchase food and kitchen items that will directly impact the daily meals.
