The purpose of the emergency pantry is to meet the urgent and immediate challenges students and families are having in meeting their basic needs. The main goal of the emergency pantry is to ensure that Britannia Elementary has the necessary food, shoes and other necessities for students and families experiencing emergency situations. The purpose is to ensure that hunger can be alleviated and that students have access to other items that they may need. For example, soup, non-perishable food items, basic toiletries, laundry soap, clothing etc.
