Watson Elementary | Chilliwack

Many students at Watson Elementary have suffered trauma in their young lives, prompting times of uncontrollable outbursts that can hurt themselves and others. A sensory room helps these students calm themselves so they can successfully stay in class.

A sensory room is a place where children suffering emotional meltdowns can go to recover their equilibrium.

Such outbursts can result in violence, children lashing out, furniture being broken, or a child running from school.

At Watson Elementary School in Chilliwack there are many children who have suffered trauma in their young lives and a sensory room will provide a safe and healing environment to help them cope and learn in their classroom.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to provide Watson Elementary with a sensory room. Help us make a difference in the lives of these children.
